Autologous Growth Factors - A-PRF, PRP and i-PRF System

At Hoffman Dental we are using your own body to heal you faster, more completely and with less overall discomfort.

By drawing your blood, centrifuging it, then using your cells, we ensure your surgery is the most successful; in short...it's all about you.

Your own blood contains all the key cells necessary to heal you, we are concentrating those healing cells in a way to place them directly at the site of surgery, so healing is accomplished at a rate and result never before seen.

This new science is called "Bioactive Surgical Additives" and is one of the most promising current areas of biomaterial research.

Below, is a list of some of the key growth factors that will be placed in high-concentration at the surgical location:

PRF: Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a fibrin matrix in which cytokines, growth factors and cells are trapped, then released over time, and that can serve as an autologous resorbable membrane for oral surgery.

BMP: Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are multi-functional growth factors that belong to the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) superfamily

PDGF: Platelet-Derived Growth Factors (PDGFs) are important factors regulating cell proliferation, cellular differentiation, cell growth, and development.

TGF-β: Transforming Growth Factor-Beta (TGF-β) is family of cytokines, which are multifunctional peptides that regulate proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, migration, and other functions in many cells. Many cells have TGF-β receptors, and this protein also regulates many other growth factors.

VEGF: Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) is a potent angiogenic factor and plays a role in bone formation and overall wound healing.
